Coming of Age Day Fashions

January 12 was sejinshiki, Japan’s Coming of Age Day. All over the country, ceremonies are held to celebrate people who turned 20 that year officially becoming adults.

    Awesome photos, as always. I especially like those three guys trying to act macho (or maybe just trying to stay warm). I feel it’s relatively rare to see men in wafuku, compared to the women…

    The first picture is quite striking as well. The perfect shade of purple… and just a hint of turquoise peeks out on her underkimono.
